Terms & Conditions — The Silver Tip Farmstay

Welcome to The Silver Tip Farmstay. These Terms & Conditions govern your booking, stay, and use of services at The Silver Tip Farmstay. By making a reservation or staying with us, you agree to these terms.

1. Bookings & Payment

1.1 Reservations can be made via our website, phone, email, or authorized booking partners.
1.2 To confirm a reservation we may require an advance payment as specified at the time of booking. We accept payments via authorized payment methods. Payment processing may involve third-party providers. We do not store full payment card details on our servers unless explicitly stated.
1.3 Balance payment, where applicable, must be settled at the property during check-in unless otherwise agreed.

2. Booking & Cancellation Policy

🔹 Booking Policy

1. Reservation Confirmation
   All bookings are confirmed only after receiving advance payment (minimum 50% of the total booking amount). Balance payment must be settled at the property during check-in.

2. Check-in & Check-out

• Check-in time: 1:00 PM

• Check-out time: 11:00 AM
  Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may attract additional charges.

3. Guest Details
   Valid government ID proof is mandatory at the time of check-in. Number of guests (adults & children) must be accurately declared during booking. Any discrepancy may lead to cancellation or extra charges.

4. Group Bookings
   For group reservations (3 rooms or more), 100% advance payment is required to confirm the booking.

🔹 Cancellation Policy

1. Free Cancellation
   Cancellations made 7 days or more before check-in: Full refund of advance payment.

2. Partial Refund
   Cancellations made between 3–6 days before check-in: 50% of advance payment will be refunded.

3. No Refund
   Cancellations made within 48 hours of check-in, or no-show on the arrival date, will not be eligible for a refund.

4. Early Check-out
   If guests choose to shorten their stay after check-in, unused nights will not be refunded.

🔹 Rescheduling Policy

Guests may reschedule once (subject to room availability) if requested at least 5 days prior to check-in. Tariff differences (if any) will apply.

🔹 Force Majeure

In case of unforeseen events such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or other circumstances beyond our control, The Silver Tip Farmstay reserves the right to cancel or modify bookings. Full or partial refunds will be processed at the management’s discretion.

3. Check-in & Check-out (General)

3.1 Standard check-in time is 1:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM unless otherwise specified. Early check-in or late check-out may be available on request and subject to availability and additional charges.
3.2 Please notify us of your expected arrival time. Failure to notify may affect your booking.

4. Rates, Taxes & Fees

4.1 Rates displayed at booking may not include applicable taxes or service charges unless stated. Local taxes or government levies will be charged as applicable.
4.2 We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to refuse or cancel bookings if a price is obviously incorrect.

5. Guest Responsibilities & House Rules

5.1 Guests are expected to behave responsibly, respect property and neighbours, and follow house rules provided at check-in or on the premises.
5.2 No smoking inside rooms. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. Violation may result in cleaning charges.
5.3 Pets are [allowed/not allowed — please specify your policy].
5.4 Guests are liable for any damage caused to the property, furnishings or equipment and will be charged for repair or replacement.

6. Capacity & Extra Guests

6.1 Each room has a maximum occupancy. Additional guests may be allowed only if declared at booking and subject to additional charges.
6.2 Unauthorized additional guests may lead to refusal of stay without refund.

7. Liability & Indemnity

7.1 The Silver Tip Farmstay will use reasonable care to ensure guest safety but is not liable for loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings unless due to our proven negligence.
7.2 Guests indemnify and hold the farmstay harmless against claims arising from guest misconduct or breach of these terms.

8. Force Majeure (General)

8.1 We are not liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, pandemics, travel disruptions). In such events, we will attempt to provide alternatives or refunds as appropriate and as detailed under the Booking & Cancellation Policy.

9. Privacy

9.1 We respect your privacy. Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy [link to Privacy Policy]. By booking, you consent to the processing of your personal data as set out in that policy.

10. Third-Party Providers

10.1 We may use third-party suppliers for services (transport, activities, payment processing). Their terms may also apply. We are not responsible for third-party acts or omissions.

11. Changes to Terms

11.1 We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Material changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

12.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [specify jurisdiction — e.g., Darjeeling / Siliguri / Kolkata].
